The closest thing I've found to here is Buddy's. And while Buddy's is okay, I've never had it & been like "yo! that is a GOOD burger!!".

We're talking well East of 35 – even east of 183, if there is anything (else, besides Buddy's) ? Anything north of 71, south of 45 and closer to 130 than to 35. We're along the 290 road area, but closer to Manor than to Austin.

You’re going to trip when I tell you this but Iron Ranch Kitchen has insanely good burgers. Inside of a gas station.

Bar Toti is small but I drove across town for their smashburgesa, it’s legit and half priced all day Monday. Make a reservation if you go peak time. Looks a lot like this picture actually.

Sir we don’t eat burgers in East Austin… we eat Tacos.

Stop trying to impose your West Austin culture upon us.

… … when I want a burger I go to Jewboy, Patty Palace, or Buddy’s.

Dai Due also has a great burger – not far from Bar Toti on Manor Rd.

It’s kind of a secret but on 7th there’s this killer burger spot P Terrys. Go check it out but don’t blow the spot up. 🤫

Dan’s Hamburgers on Airport Blvd and Shady Lane. I’ll still drive there from wherever the hell I am when I’m craving a good burger.

Hill-Bert’s is also an honorable mention for sure, but it’s closer to 35.

I think your problem is the area you live in is kind of a restaurant desert, not just for burgers but I’m struggling to think of any notable restaurants out in that area at all.

I used to work east of 183 & 290 for years, and my biggest gripe was always the lack of non-fast food options.

I ate at Buddy’s a lot and I do agree with you that it’s solid (and priced right) but I wouldn’t call it a destination-worthy restaurant. If anything I only barely prefer it over P. Terry’s

Hillside Farmacy has a banging Texas Wagyu burger. I go every Wednesday night for their Adult Happy Meal, Burger, fries & an old fashioned cocktail using Still Austin whiskey for $20.

Golden Tiger at Whistler’s has good smash burgers
    Counter cafe has solid hamberders
Mickelwait bbq has a good burger
Little Deli has a decent cheeseborger

    I think there’s a P. Terry’s somewhere out there

No one is far east enough. Get the burger at Laod Bar, have some very reasonably priced drinks at Sign Bar and then get aEl Norteno tacos on your way home. All east of 183 on 969

No one has mentioned it yet but Donn’s BBQ has a really great old fashion burger. Definitely in the area you mention and I think you’ll be impressed. Source: I’m 40% hamburger

I’m in Del Valle and have been wanting to try Flamin Burger but haven’t gotten there yet.
