  1. Chop and freeze those stocks and add them into chicken and rice casseroles with chicken broth and mushroom soup and cheese – yummy

  2. Ok, look. I liked and followed you based just on this first short I’ve ever seen from you. However, yes people eat the stems from broccoli CROWNS not BUSHELS! In fact if you are throwing out those stems you’re throwing away the exact same nutrient density per ounce as is contained in the florets. Do what you want with your vegetables but don’t try and say no one eats them. It’s dumb if you don’t.

  3. Peal the stems and chop the inside. Use real bacon. Bake it on a rimmed baking sheet covered with foil

  4. If they intend to pay, say; “absolutely I’ll pay up front. And if you do a great job, I will pay a tip at the end. “

  5. Trippin… That's the best part of broccoli, especially when it's soaked in some sort of Asian sauce…

  6. YESSSS! Thank you for pointing out that it is a PURPLE onion! I don't care what anyone says the darned onion is PURPLE! Oh, and the recipe for the salad looks fantastic. Will make soon, with PURPLE onions. Thanks so much for posting. Warm regards, Cheryl.

  7. Haet to tell you, but the stalks are full of nutrients. Why don't you puree them in a blender, freeze in an ice cube tray and add to soups as a thickening agent and to add a punch of the good stuff?

  8. Air cuts are pretty dangerous; broccoli stems are perfectly good to eat. Just cut into slivers for a salad, or use them in a veggie stock.
