Houston has a national Christmas cookie champ. Scott French, owner of Mister French’s gourmet cookie bakery, recently won Episode 3 of Season 5 of Food Network’s “Christmas Cookie Challenge.”
The episode airs again on Dec. 24 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 25 at 11 a.m.
During the episode titled “Christmas Mischief,” five of America’s best cookie makers were challenged with creating Christmas character masks made from cookies. French triumphed, taking home the $10,000 prize.
The show, incidentally, is hosted by another Houstonian, Eddie Jackson, a former NFL player who won “Food network Star” in 2015.
