Small Indiana burger chain, just tried for the first time. Shockingly great smash burger, super crispy edges.

Fuck yeah, brother. I personally prefer the Schererville location, but any will do. This is one of the top northwest indiana regional foods.

Schoops was making smash (type) burgers before smash burgers were hip. It’s been a long time since I had one, but sort of like Steak ‘n Shake if I remember.
Hagabar
Also they have the best curly fries in the region

Damn I miss Schoop’s. Didn’t eat there nearly enough when I used to live in Indiana.

This may be my neurodivergence showing, but seeing melted cheese touching lettuce is the burger equivalent of nails on a chalkboard.

I was just scrolling past and my brain read school hamburger, then I saw the pic and thought that looked pretty good for a cafeteria burger.

The veg looks perfect.
Burger looks incredible overall too FWIW.

I’d personally add cheese but that looks quite appetizing.

Dude they were the OG smash burger location for as long as I can remember. I’ve been going there for over 30 years. Green River Shake is the move.

Indiana food is so terrible
Uncle-Cracker-Barrel
Patties look a little too smashed for my taste. Plus there’s no cheese and the hair on your knuckles isn’t exactly helping me work up an appetite. 3/10
