J-Prime Steakhouse is one of San Antonio’s top-rated places to grab a steak, thanks to its elevated dining experience and romantic setting. Its sister restaurant, Chama Gaúcha, is just as beloved for similar reasons and for its all-you-can-eat Brazilian steak service. This year, the team behind both eateries is preparing to branch out into new territory: Italian cuisine.

Ardēre Braceria Italiana is the newest restaurant to join the J-Prime, Chama Gaúcha family, which MySA confirmed with a J-Prime representative after a construction filing for the incoming business was submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

“That filing is for an entirely new concept, Ardēre Braceria, slated to open in Fall 2026 in San Antonio,” the representative told MySA in an email.

The email from J-Prime included a link to a website for the new restaurant, Ardēre Braceria, further affirming the fall 2026 timeline. However, there’s not much else out there about the new restaurant other than its focus will be on Italian cuisine. MySA followed up with J-Prime to ask for any other information, including location and menu details, but we did not hear back at the time of publishing.

The construction filing for Ardēre Braceria Italiana, which listed the restaurant under the project name “JPrime Italia,” stated that construction will take place from February 10, 2026, through August 31, 2026. However, details on TDLR filings are subject to change without notice.

The address listed for the project appears to be for the corporate office of J-Prime and Chama Gaúcha, so as of right now, the exact location of Ardēre remains a mystery. MySA will continue to follow the restaurant’s progress in the coming months.
