SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – The South Bend Cubs will open their 2026 season next Friday, April 3, with expanded food options at Four Winds Field.
The ballpark will bring back opponent dogs, which feature different hot dogs for different opposing teams. A new hot dog stand called Franks will open with a new entrance.
The Cubs also added a grab-and-go location behind home plate.
New menu items include pork tenderloin at all games, chicken and cheese quesadilla and dirty sodas at bar locations. Three Floyds Beer will have a bar behind home plate.
“Now we’ve got the brand new event building, so that first floor is gonna be all kitchen space. We’ve got more than enough ovens, fryers, prep space, more coolers, dry storage, you name it. We can now do food fresher, faster, and meet the quality standard that we expect,” said Chris Hagstrom-Jones, assistant general manager of marketing and media for the South Bend Cubs.
The ballpark offers hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken tenders, fries and cheese curds.
“There are some amazing food options, something for everybody here at Four Winds Field,” Hagstrom-Jones said. “If you leave Four Winds Field hungry, its your own fault because there’s so many food options. You really got to come back game after game to try something new. And again, one of my favorite parts about it is you could go the entire week and have something different every day of the week, probably the next two weeks, without actually rolling over.”
The team will offer fish and chips for opening day weekend, which falls on Good Friday.
