The classic Nicoise salad recipe with tuna comes from the French city of Nice. A dish of lettuce leaves, eggs, tomatoes and tuna is being prepared. Canned, fresh, and frozen fish can be used here. High-quality fresh tuna should have a beautiful wine shade, and white streaks should clearly stand out on the meat. If there are none, then the fish has been artificially tinted. The proportions for the salad are arbitrary, because the main thing in it is a dressing bearing a related name — Nicoise sauce.
