The mozz will soon bubble for the final time at one of Ponte Vedra Beach’s most popular culinary destinations.

Trasca & Co Eatery and its Ponte Vedra Taproom will wind down operations permanently at the end of business on April 13 at 155 Tourside Drive, No. 1500, in the Sawgrass Village shopping center.

Owner Sarah Trasca announced the decision in a message shared on social media, describing it as a carefully considered choice.

Woman holding cookbookTrasca made the announcement on Friday.

“The decision was not made lightly. I will tell you that my family and I have talked about it quite a bit,” she said.

Trasca pointed to shifting priorities at home and in her professional life as key factors behind the move.

“We really need to focus on our family,” she said. “And we really need to ensure that I am able to support fully the consulting firm that I started.”

The chosen closing date carries special significance for the business.

April 13 marks exactly 11 years since the eatery first opened its doors, serving up paninis, pasta and a neighborhood gathering space that quickly became a staple in St. Johns County.

“It has been tremendous,” Trasca said of the restaurant’s impressive run.

“I really appreciate everyone supporting me, everyone supporting our staff and our team, my family,” she added. “And you know, this is not the exact end, but again, I wanted you to hear it from me first.”

In a separate statement posted to the restaurant’s Facebook page, Trasca reflected on the community that formed around the business and expressed gratitude to those who helped sustain its success for more than a decade.

She also emphasized that the relationships built through the restaurant will endure well beyond its closing, even as this chapter comes to a close.

The announcement drew praise and support from local admirers.

Prominent hospitality maven Leigh Cort saluted Trasca in an Instagram post following the news.

“You have brought the most professional and delicious dining destination in Ponte Vedra Beach for more than a decade,” she wrote. “Bravo for your successes ~ and all of the happiness you brought to us.”
