One of the country’s most well-known Italian restaurants has expanded to a new Triangle location.

The breadstick behemoth Olive Garden Italian Kitchen is officially open in Selma.

The restaurant is located in the mixed-use Eastfield project from AdVenture Development.

“We know our residents and visitors enjoy going out for a great meal,” Kevin Dougherty, president of AdVenture Development, said in a news release. “We are proud to welcome Darden Restaurants, the premier leader in American full-service dining and parent company of Olive Garden, to Eastfield in Selma. Their partnership represents a significant investment in our local workforce and a profound commitment to our community’s well-being.”

Known for its warm breadsticks and Italian American classics, Olive Garden is located at 191 Saint Mark Ave. Olive Garden has several existing Triangle locations in Raleigh, Wake Forest, Cary and Holly Springs.

New businesses at Eastfield

It’s the latest business to join the 435-acre Eastfield development, near Interstate 95 and Highway 70.

Some retailers already open at Eastfield include BJ’s Wholesale Club, Ulta Beauty, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, Five Below, Burlington, Panda Express and Old Navy.

Target is also opening a new store at Eastfield.

Olive Garden menu

Olive Garden serves a range of pasta dishes including fettuccine Alfredo ($17), spaghetti and meatballs ($18), five cheese ziti ($18) and shrimp scampi ($21).

Entrees come with house salad or a choice of soup, plus breadsticks.
