A Mediterranean restaurant chain is expanding its operations in Fort Worth.

CAVA is opening a new location at 5500 McPherson Blvd., located near The Shops at Chisholm Trail. The south Fort Worth shopping area is home to several restaurants and retail stores, along with a Studio Movie Grill theater.

Construction on the new CAVA will begin in November and finish in May 2024, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The estimated construction cost on the new 2,500-square-foot building is $1.1 million.

CAVA is a fast-casual restaurant serving Mediterranean food. The restaurant chain focuses on fresh ingredients offering diners to build their own salad, pita, or green or grain bowl.

The chain has three other restaurants in Fort Worth at 5917 Convair Dr. suite 309, 2736 W 7th St. and 3330 Tracewood Way suite 100. All three locations are open 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Sunday.

CAVA opened its first restaurant in 2011 in Bethesda, Maryland. The restaurant chain has since expanded operations into over two dozen states.
