As long as it’s been refrigerated properly, it’s fine. It’s no different than wet aging the meat, which increases flavor and tenderness. It’s marked down in the store because it’s not pretty, but if it’s properly stored, beef can be wet aged for a couple of weeks. The red color is added by the store anyways, so there’s zero issue as far as eating it goes.

I’ve bought a few of these and regretted each one. See that dark patch on the top left and right? And the fat isn’t white anymore all around. And what is under those stickers. You’ll know what I’m talking about as soon as you open up the package and take a whif.

It’s cut kinda crooked but the thick part is the spinalis so that’s a win. I would grab it, cook tonight, leftovers for steak and eggs or lunch etc

Sams club has tomahawk ribeyes. Usually between 30 and 40 dollars. For 30 bucks you can buy 2 prime strip steaks.
