Doing a test run . I scraped the grease off the tray and vacuumed it out. This is what’s left on the tray. A lot of white smoke though. 375-425 degrees.

    I don’t see why not. Wasting pellets ‘testing’.

    I do a bad job cleaning my Searwood XL and haven’t had any off flavours.

    You’ll know when there’s too much grease of it sets fire. Let it ride!

    Stat putting a layer of aluminum foil on that grease tray. Once it’s dirty replace it. I’ve never once scraped my tray and never had this issue.

    Definetly looks like grease burnout to me too. At that temp would would not have white smoke unless it was grease or shit pellets which doesn’t sound like the case here.. they cook so fast it might not matter, how did they taste?

    Go 350 and you probably won’t have a fire. Last time I went over 400 everything was charred.
