My wife bought some modular outdoor kitchen cabinets from BlueSky. The intention was to put my CJ II in the kamado cabinet but it turns out it won’t work due to the depth of the hinge. Plan B is to get a Joe Jr. and use that but we can’t figure out if the Joe Jr. will fit. The circular cutout is slightly under 22” and from the front edge of the cutout to the rear edge of the overall cabinet (which will be placed against a wall) is 23”. There is an adjustable shelf (holds 300 lbs) so I’m not worried about getting the hinge above the level of the counter.
We’ve tried calling Kamado Joe but we can’t find anyone who will give us a definite answer so I’m crowdsourcing the problem.

A quick google reveals this image
I can measure my gap / shelf height once home in about but your measurements seem a little tight to allow enough gap

Why not prop the grill up so the hinge clears the hole?
