I can’t get enough of fermented bean paste and fresh, thinly sliced garlic in Korean food, the more, the merrier!

Raw garlic is a bit too much for me in kbbq. I like to toast them on the grill to get a nice color then add them to my wrap.

I put crushed garlic into my Ssamjang. My mother also taught me a great trick which is to use a little mayo and cut it into the Ssamjang Garlic mixture and you get a SMOOOOOOTH dip. Our home dip is 1 tablespoon Gochujang, 1 tablespoon daenjang, 1/2 tablespoon Puree Garlic, splash of sesame oil, 1/2 tablespoon kewpie mayo. This here is the dip you put on everything!

I just make sure my wife eats it with me. Otherwise she won’t be next to me the rest of the day.

Love raw garlic! I can’t for the life of me get into ssamjang tho. It tastes too salty to me and is not aromatic like doenjang? Idk…?

Heck yeah. Try them with the Perilla leaves if you haven’t already.

Especially during cold months, I make a lot of Doenjang-jjigae. Sometimes, I just eat lettuce hearts dipped in ssamjang as a snack.

Anyone here like bean paste with rice? Someone in a kpop girl group said rice in cold water mixed with doenjeon is her ultimate comfort food.
I have to admit, it sounds meh, but actually delicious!
