BOCA RATON, Fla. — The kitchen is about to get competitive, all in the name of helping local children and families.
The Boca West Children’s Foundation is hosting a unique community cook-off on April 17, turning a traditional luncheon into an interactive culinary showdown designed to raise money and awareness for its mission.
Executive Director Pamela Weinroth visited ARC Florida on April 3 to talk about the upcoming event.
Weinroth says the foundation is focused on supporting at-risk children and families across Palm Beach County.

Unlike a typical sit-down fundraiser, this cook-off adds a creative twist. Participants—many of them not professional chefs—will step into the kitchen and compete, adding an element of excitement and community involvement to the event. CBS12’s Sam Kerrigan and Matt Lincoln are among the competitors.
The impact goes far beyond the kitchen. Funds raised through events like this help support programs that provide food, education, healthcare, and essential services to children and families throughout the area.
For those interested in attending or getting involved, more information about the event and the Boca West Children’s Foundation can be found on the organization’s website.
