I made the mistake of tipping over and getting water from the cup in here, what can I do to prevent it from getting damaged?
In an attempt to get the water out of the cup, I turned the coffee maker upside down and all the water poured down to that area.

I would let it sit out for a few days to dry out completely. It may not be damaged, but can’t hurt to let it completely dry out. Good luck

What on earth do you mean “get the water out of the cup”? Do you mean that tiny amount where the pod sits that’s pictured? Why would you turn it upside down? Just use a paper towel ffs.

You can run an empty pod as a brew and do a quasi cleaning. Afterwards wipe down the upper head with a paper towel AND wipe out the bowl too. I’ll be full of water. Doesn’t hurt a thing.
