Liquid propane is in the tank. When it converts to gas to be used by the grill, it needs heat to make that happen, so it pulls heat from the tank. This creates the condensation you see. It can actually create frost as well if it’s cold enough outside.
Condensation of Air moisture due to cooling gas bottle. Keep on grilling.
Normal. Gases expand as they are released from the cylinder, as you grill. Most gases cool as they expand. It’s called the Joule-Thompson. Fridges and AC work in a similar way. The condensation is because the air is humid and the tank cooled below the dew point. Science!
Pv=nrt
No, its going to blow up!!!
Jk, yes but i did think it was gonna blow up when i first experienced this.
I thought this was the Stanley Cup from the thumbnail 😂
Same thing happens on those compressed air cans you get for blowing dust out of your keyboard if you use it long enough. Usually just a few seconds and it will start to frost.
Run the propane tank long enough and it will start to get a frost layer on it and freeze things around it. We were running a propane heater at a winter party once. It froze to the grass and the area within a few inches of it was frozen solid.
PV=nRT. So, yes.
Buy coal(wooden) bbq, gas is a lie.
Take so called classic round one (dont buy expensive one): for reference “Black Outdoor Garden Portable Kettle Charcoal BBQ Grill ”
And use thermometer and timer.
Physics is happening!!!! Gas is expanding
