Off the bat, don’t compare it to a legit Japanese A5 Wagyu, they are worlds apart. However, at £6.99 for 227g, it’s not too shabby!

Dry brined the night before, straight to pan (no reverse sear), avocado oil, 90s each side flipping every 30s, rested with butter, going for rare. Served with blanched asparagus, cheesy mash and an excellent £4.99 Malbec (thanks Tom Gilbey). Highly recommended.

This addiction doesn’t need to cost a fortune!

  1. I switched to the *’just keep flipping’* method and haven’t looked back. Although, I haven’t cooked a thicc boy in a while…which reminds me.

I got a brace of those yesterday. Couldn’t believe the price. Aldi steaks are no joke.

Amazing cook! Also, jealous of those plating skills. One thing I definitely need to work on

I haven’t had their steak in a few years, but I found it beat the expensive one from the meat counter in Waitrose and at the local farm shop.

Denver steaks are one of my favorite steaks by far.
