A Myrtle Beach Italian restaurant has closed permanently, and will be replaced by a new establishment in the new year.
Café Vincenzo’s, located at 7710 North Kings Highway, announced its closure with a note on its front door.
It is unclear what business will move into the restaurant.
The restaurant’s number was out of service when The Sun News attempted to reach out on Monday.
The restaurant had previously undergone a temporary closure in July 2025 citing a decline in quality, and also ran into legal trouble in August 2025 when the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division found that a manager, Genci Cake, was selling alcohol without a license.
Cake assumed operations in August 2024, and allegedly sold alcohol to an undercover SLED agent in July 2025. Online records show that his charges are still pending.
While Cake was running the restaurant, the business suffered a “decline in quality and reputation,” according to a sign posted on the restaurant’s door announcing the temporary closure in July.
A grand reopening was held on Sept. 5, after the original owner, Vincenzo Panzarino, once again assumed control of the business from Cake.
The restaurant first opened in 2022. It served brick-oven pizza, pastas and other main courses such as lamb marsala, The Sun News previously reported.
