Glodow Nead Communications and incumbent Colangelo & Partners selected as agencies of record to spearhead strategic media relations, trade relations, and consumer events campaigns in the United States

April 3, 2026 (San Francisco, CA) — Wines of Georgia, an agency of the country of Georgia dedicated to promoting the country’s wines globally, is proud to announce the appointment of Glodow Nead Communications as Wines of Georgia’s agency of record for media relations in the United States. Incumbent agency Colangelo & Partners retains American trade relations and event organization. Wines of Georgia continues to see significant growth for its diverse range of high-quality wines in the United States and considers this partnership a catalyst for continued growth in the U.S. market.

“We are looking forward to elevating the sales of wines from our homeland, which not only honor Georgia’s rich winemaking history but demonstrate distinctive contemporary appeal,” said Tamta Kvelaidze, deputy chairman of the National Wine Agency of Georgia. “Glodow Nead Communications not only brings an in-depth understanding of wine to our campaign, but also the expertise to tell the story of our culture and values in the U.S. Colangelo & Partners is one of the largest marketing companies that has been operating in the American market for almost 20 years. The National Wine Agency has been cooperating with this company since 2022. During this period, a notable increase in Georgian wine exports has been observed.”

Glodow Nead Communications represents a range of industries including wine, spirits, luxury hotels, restaurants, real estate, and lifestyle across the United States, Asia, Europe, and South America. The agency will provide media support for Wines of Georgia including for the country’s inaugural National Wine Day celebration and conference in Tbilisi on May 8th.

Colangelo & Partners, which has represented Wines of Georgia since 2022, will continue to manage trade relations and event programming across the United States. In 2026, Colangelo & Partners will execute a four-city Grand Tour with dedicated Wines of Georgia trade and consumer events in Chicago, Washington D.C., Miami, and Seattle, in addition to presenting Wines of Georgia at leading national events including the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Del Mar Food & Wine, Karakterre NYC, and Austin Food & Wine.

While archaeological evidence has proven that Georgia is indeed the birthplace of vitis vinifera, Georgian wine has surged in popularity over the past 20 years as American sommeliers and consumers have discovered the region’s traditions and 30 protected wine appellations, including the well-known mountain regions of Kakheti, Kartli, and Imereti. Notably, Georgian wine imports to the United States have grown consistently during a period when overall U.S. wine consumption has been falling, demonstrably affirming the quality and value of the wines.

By sharing the stories and bottles that illuminate Georgia’s vibrant and diverse wine regions, this partnership stands to ensure wines from the country continue to build on the reputation that has been established over the past two decades.

“Georgian wines are singular,” said Jeff Nead, principal of Glodow Nead Communications. “After spending some time in Georgia last year, we were struck by the compelling stories being shared by the country’s current generation of dynamic winemakers, stories that come through so clearly in their wines. The cultural tapestry they weave is one we cannot wait to share. We’re looking forward to working in tandem with our Georgian partners to raise these wines and their makers to new heights.”
