Here’s who is behind the helm of Montclair’s newest eatery, according to a news release:
“Leading the culinary vision is partner and chef Dan Drohan, whose experience shapes the restaurant’s refined yet approachable menu. With over 20 years in the New York City restaurant world, chef Drohan previously served as executive chef at Otto Enoteca Pizzeria for 16 years, where he also played an integral role in launching several celebrated concepts including Eataly Flatiron, Enoteca San Marco and B&B at the Venetian Hotel, and Babbo Boston. Most recently working with chef Franklin Becker at both the Manhattanville Market at Columbia University and at the Martinique Hotel in Midtown Manhattan.”
Menu highlights include a tapas style antipasto. It will feature house cured salumi, artisanal regional Italian cheese selection, seasonal local vegetables, salads and seafood antipasto, a pasta selection featuring both handmade and imported pastas, as well as entrees and shared Items made from locally sourced seafood, pork and poultry prepared with traditional Italian technique. The menu will also feature deserts from pastry chef Kazmire Puntarovic.
Campofiore adds to Stout NYC Hospitality Group’s footprint New Jersey, joining the group’s additional locations, The Splendid Rooftop and Allegory, both located at the MC Hotel.
“With Campofiore, we set out to craft a dining experience that captures the flavors of Italy while showcasing the very best local farms and purveyors of the great state of New Jersey,” said Percy Rodriguez, chief operations officer at Stout NYC Hospitality Group.
“Every dish is reverentially Italian, with an ingredient-driven approach,” Rodriguez added.
