TEMECULA, CA — Firefighters contained a brush fire burning close to the Callaway Vineyard & Winery Sunday evening.
Ground and air crews were able to fully contain the blaze, dubbed the Serena Fire, at 33 acres by at 7:40 p.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The fire broke out in the 32700 block of Rancho California Road at about 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Riverside County Fire Department/Cal Fire spokesperson Maggie Cline De La Rosa told Patch.
“Firefighters are on scene,” said Cline De La Rosa said at the time. “It is… moving at a moderate rate of speed.”
Within in an hour, the fire had spread to 25 acres and by 7:30 p.m. the blaze had burned 33 acres.

There were no evacuations announced, and firefighters remained at the scene Sunday evening.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
