There are five restaurants to look out for opening this month

Although it can be expensive, eating out not only helps out local businesses but it is also great for meet ups, whether it be for work or play. April is looking to be a very busy month for restaurants opening in the city. Hot diners has compiled a list of bars and restaurants to keep an eye out for this month, from Italian to Lebanese restaurants, here are five highlights.
Bar Etna – Stoke Newington
This pizzeria will be a team-up between the Four Legs founder Ed McIlroy and Philadelphia chef and restaurateur Joe Beddia. Beddia, is a Philadelphia-based pizza chef whose first opening in Philly, Pizzeria Beddia, was declared to serve the ‘Best Pizza in America’ by Bon Appétit magazine.
Alongside the headline pizza, guests can expect a menu of Italian-American favourites, including Aubergine Parmigiana, Caponata and classic Meatballs. It will be based at 47 Newington Green, Newington Green, London N16 9PX and is set to open in late April.
Padella – Soho

You’d have to have been living under a rock for many years now to not have heard of Padella. The Italian restaurant known for its virtual queues to get a table by Borough Market and in Shoreditch is opening a third site in the heart of the West End, in Soho on Kingly Street.
The ground floor is set to be the usual with more of a casual vibe, however, the new downstairs restaurant and private dining room sounds like it’ll be quite a looker. It is set to open at 2 Kingly Street, London W1B 5PB on April 16.
Ornella – Hackney

Actor Theo James, restaurateur Ed Templeton and chef Naz Hassan are going to be opening a restaurant in Hackney next after previously opening LUPA.
Ornella will be an Italian restaurant, but this time they’re heading north of Rome to Milan for culinary influence. This will be based on Wilton Way and they will be taking over the site that used to be Fran’s.
KINZ – Notting Hill
Quite a lot of ex-banks are being converted into impressive-looking restaurants. KINZ is taking over what was a Lloyds bank, built in the 1930s by architect Sir Edward Maufe. It’s been put together by a trio, brothers Jad and Karim Lahoud and Rasha Khouri Bruzzo. There will be a deli at the front, where they’ll have Lebanese provisions and even some pre-prepared frozen dishes to take home, like lamb and pine nut kibbehs.
It will be based at 50 Notting Hill Gate, London W11 3JD and will open on April 27.
Cafe Jikoni – Stratford
The team behind Jikoni in Marylebone, Ravinder Bhogal and Nadeem Lalani Nanjuwany are taking on a new restaurant, this time one that is launching as part of the V&A East Museum.
New dishes planned for the menu include Prawn Toast Scotch Egg,Turmeric and Ginger Chicken Pie and Lamb Merguez Flatbread with fennel, tahini and pickled chillies.
It will be based at East Bank, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and is set to open on April 18.
