Something new is cookin’ in Beverly Hills.
Global hospitality group Noble 33 — the brand behind West Hollywood’s coastal Mexican-inspired Casa Madera — announced on Monday its plans to open a new, “one restaurant, two concept experience” on the ground floor of the luxurious Rosewood Residences Beverly Hills in 2027.
The 12,000-sqft restaurant located at 9900 S. Santa Monica Blvd. will house two concepts: A Japanese steakhouse featuring an izakaya spot (Japanese pub) within.
The hospitality group said the project is being led by restaurateurs Mikey Tanha (the co-founder and CEO of Noble 33) and Tosh Berman (the leader of Noble 33’s in-house design team). This marks Noble 33’s first Japanese-inspired restaurant.
“The Japanese steakhouse concept invites guests to explore the often-overlooked world of Japanese steak in addition to its beloved sushi counterpart, while the sister izakaya concept captures the energy of Tokyo’s back-alley izakayas with a focus on small plates and ramen,” a press release explained.

The Japanese restaurant will house two concepts under one roof.
The company said the space will feature a central bar and open sushi counter, as well as quieter areas that “feel ceremonial.”
The restaurant’s interior design will be far from minimalist, but rather bold and contemporary, with décor that includes samurai armor and curated weapon displays.
“The design flips traditional Japanese restraint on its head, embracing richness, color, and layering to create a space that feels dynamic, immersive, and distinctly elevated,” Noble 33 noted.
Berman said the large space will give his team a chance to “fully execute the design vision and create something unlike any other Japanese restaurant in the city.”
As for the menu, Tanha said patrons can expect the brand’s take on Japanese dining “anchored by the precision and immersive experience of a classic Noble 33 steakhouse.”
In addition to Casa Madera locations in West Hollywood and Toronto, Noble 33 operates several more concepts around the world.
This includes the Mexican-inspired steakhouse Toca Madera in Scottsdale, Las Vegas, and Houston, and the Italian-inspired Sparrow Italia in London and Miami.
Then there’s the Mediterranean-influenced Medüza Mediterranea in New York and 1587 Prime in Kansas City, an American steakhouse created in partnership with Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl champions Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
