If you’ve been feeling like your life needs a bit more je ne sais quoi, then you’re in luck. The vOilah! France Singapore Festival 2026 is back, and it’s looking bigger than a fresh sourdough loaf from a Parisian boulangerie.
From 25th April to 20th June 2026, Singapore is getting a massive dose of French culture. We’re talking about more than 26 programmes spread across the island. Whether you’re a hardcore foodie, an art lover, or just someone looking for a free date night spot, there’s something for you. No need to fly 13 hours and deal with jet lag; the French spirit is coming straight to our doorstep.
What is the vOilah! France Singapore Festival 2026?
It is the annual big event for French culture in Singapore. Think of it as a massive party where France shares its food, movies, and art with us. It’s been happening for years and keeps getting bigger.
The festival is organised by the Embassy of France in Singapore, featuring over 21 partners, including the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM), Science Centre Singapore, and Singapore Ballet.
It’s basically a massive cross-cultural festival featuring art exhibitions, Michelin-starred food markets, film screenings, and high-end fashion theatre. And events are happening all over the Red Dot! Locations range from VivoCity and Sentosa to Gillman Barracks and the Esplanade.
The festival starts on 25th April with activities and events lasting till 20th June 2026, so mark your calendars. Most events are easy to access via MRT, and many are free, while others require tickets, which you can grab at the official website.
For the food lovers
You cannot have a French festival without food. It’s illegal (not really, but it should be).
1. vOilah! French Food Market

The crown jewel for all the makan fans. Head down to VivoCity to find the best French produce. We’re talking fresh oysters, artisanal cheeses that taste like heaven, and pastries that will make you forget your diet. The best part? Michelin-starred celebrities Chef Sébastien Lepinoy and Chef Jérémy Gillon will be doing live demos.

From jazz under the stars to world-class ballet, the entertainment lineup is stacked.
2. Miles Ahead! A Celebration of Miles Davis

If you like jazz, you cannot miss this. It’s a tribute to the legendary Miles Davis and his love for Paris. It’s an outdoor concert at Kallang, so you can bring a mat, some snacks, and just vibe to the trumpet tunes.

3. The Sacred Voices of Corsica

This is something truly unique. A group called Spartimu is bringing paghjella, a type of traditional singing from the island of Corsica. It’s recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. It’s raw, powerful, and usually heard in old churches or village bars.

4. BALLET: The Making of an Étoile

Ever wondered what it takes to become a top-tier ballet dancer? This exhibition goes behind the scenes of the Paris Opera Ballet. You’ll see the grit, the repetition, and the discipline needed to reach the level of an Étoile, which is the highest rank of a dancer.

A world premiere by the Singapore Ballet! This features 2 works by French choreographers. It’s a mix of “neo-classical” (modern but still graceful) and timeless ballet moves.

5. French Cinema at Sentosa

This French play is a look into the secret society of haute couture. When the Princess of England orders a wedding dress, the story follows the seamstresses and embroiderers in Paris and Mumbai who spend 8 months making it. It’s about the blood, sweat, and tears behind the glamour.

Part of the European Union Film Festival (EUFF), this movie follows a lawyer named Clemence who leaves her marriage to find herself. It premiered at Cannes and is based on a famous French novel. Very intense, very French.

French art isn’t just about the Mona Lisa. This year, we’re getting everything from ancient treasures to futuristic VR experiences.
6. Nest and Neighbors: Solitude and Coexistence in High-Density Cities
French artist Ceet Fouad uses his famous “chicanos” – basically very cute, bubbly chickens – to talk about living in crowded cities like Singapore and Hong Kong. It’s colourful, ironic, and very relatable for anyone living in an HDB block where you know your neighbour’s TV schedule but not their name.

7. Only Light Has No Shadow

Paris-based artist Ziad Dalloul brings his paintings to Singapore for the first time. His work is all about that “third place”, the space between what’s real and what’s imagined. Think dreamy landscapes and everyday objects like chairs and tables rendered in a way that feels super philosophical.

8. Still Lives, After Life

Forget boring fruit bowls; Ugo Li treats still life like the aftermath of a party. He paints tables after the meal is over and vases after the flowers have wilted. It’s about the things that remain after we leave the room.

9. Voilà les fous!

This one is for the rebels. 20 local artists who didn’t necessarily go to fancy art schools talk back to the French masters of Fauvism. It’s a bold, frank dialogue between Singaporean creativity and French tradition.

10. Le European Grand Tour
Back in the day, people used to go on a grand tour of Europe to find themselves, especially through backpacking. This exhibition reimagines that journey through the eyes of 4 artists. Instead of postcards, they use light, material, and memory to show what lingers after such a trip.

11. Silent Echoes

Artist Alexandre Levi took photos of abandoned houses in Japan and turned them into risograph prints. They are neon pink, aqua, and violet. It’s a look at what happens when people leave and only echoes of their lives remain in the walls.

12. The Art of Chamber Music Exhibition

If you think classical music is just for sitting still, this exhibition will change your mind. It’s a mix of photography, film, and cool moving graphics that shows how musicians collaborate.

This is the big one, guys. For the first time in Southeast Asia, ACM is hosting nearly 100 masterpieces from the Louvre – yes, that Louvre in Paris. It focuses on Indian, Iranian, and Ottoman art from the 16th to 18th centuries. It’s a dialogue between cultures, showing how art ideas travelled along old trade routes.

Bonus: One Ocean: Every Action Ripples

This is the worldwide debut of an experience that brings a literal Polar Station to Singapore. You get to use VR and immersive projections to explore Arctic ice and coral reefs. It’s meant to show us how our small actions here in Singapore can cause “ripples” in the big blue ocean.

Is the festival free?
Many of the flagship events are totally free. This includes entry to the Food Market, the jazz concert at Kallang, the movie screenings at Sentosa, and most of the art exhibitions at Alliance Française and Gillman Barracks. Some performances and museum entries require a ticket.

Is the festival family-friendly?
Yes, the French Cinema at Sentosa and the Science Centre exhibition are perfect for kids. However, do check the ratings for some of the theatre plays, like Planet [wanderer], as they might have age restrictions.
Do I need to speak French to enjoy the festival?
Not at all. All the films have English subtitles, and art, music, and food are universal languages. You might pick up a few words like Bonjour or Merci along the way, though!
