Every year, for the past 23 years, Georgetown’s streets transform into an open-air market that seems straight out of Paris for an entire weekend, with local businesses often offering deals that reach up to as much as 75% off!
The iconic event, which started in 2003, brings the community together for a whimsical and fun celebration focusing on supporting local businesses while showing an appreciation for the French way of life.
What is the Georgetown French Market?
Georgetown French Market is a one-weekend celebration where the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. closes its streets and converts them into an open-air outdoor market, similar to what you see in Paris in the springtime!
You’ll be able to enjoy French culture, treats, and beverages while taking advantage of some incredible deals and discounts at local shops.

Where does the Georgetown French Market take place?
The event is along Wisconsin Avenue NW between O Street and Reservoir Road in Central Georgetown.
