I’ve started some cucumber plants, spinach and basil – have tried to label in the pic. Can’t wait to see how these progress!

How soon can you get the cukes in the ground? They don’t like their roots disturbed. Many direct sow them but I start mine and transplant when they’re small – slugs love the tender seedlings in my area

Off to a good start but these seedlings need more light. They’re quite “leggy” which, if they get much worse may cause them to fall over and snap the stems.

Cucumbers don’t like their root disturb, next time plant them directly in the ground. With spinach, I usually also plant them directly in the ground too. And with basil, one plant is never enough for me because I love them so much. Usually I just empty half a pack of seeds in a middle size pot and divide them later. The more, the merrier.
But you are off to a good start. If you want something fast, try radish. From seed to harvest, only takes 27 days. They are very rewarding to grow.
