Château Latour 1990
Origin: Pauillac, Bordeaux (Left Bank)
Classification: First Growth (Premier Grand Cru Classé, 1855)
Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, small amounts of Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot
One of the greatest Bordeaux years of the 20th century
Rich, powerful, and incredibly structured. Expect deep flavors of blackcurrant, cassis, cedar, tobacco, graphite, and earthy spice. Despite its intensity, it’s known for balance and elegance.
Built to last decades , drinking beautifully today, expected to evolve well beyond 2030+ if stored properly.
1990 is often considered part of Bordeaux’s “holy trinity” of great back-to-back vintages (1988, 1989, 1990).

Very lucky ! I am jealous. How were the tannins? I had the 1989 recently and it was fantastic.

Hands down the best wine I think I’ve drank in my life and very fond memories the few times I drank this with my granddad & mum!
Hope you enjoyed!
My birth year. I would so like to have one of these bottles before they’re really past peak. 🙁 How is it drinking?
Solid. So are the Ottolenghi books behind it. Good taste.
