Hi all! I love seeing your recipes and reading yours posts 🍨 Question: can I double a recipe (aka double the amount of liquid) for my old fashioned ice cream maker (see photo of my machine)? I love making custards but it is just so much work for so little output. I’m wondering if doubling the liquid mixture would result in twice as much great ice cream or if the machine needs that extra room to churn. Thoughts?

Please remember to share the recipe you used or how you think it turned out. If you are uncomfortable sharing your recipe, please share some tips or help people create their own recipe. If you are not satisfied yet please mention what is wrong/could be improved. This is a lot more interesting for everyone then just a picture.

Yes. Most recipes (NYT, Hello, etc) make about 2 quarts. The one there makes 4 quarts I believe. Just double your recipes.
