Do pinwheels bother pollinators?
They’ve changed my climate zone here in North Carolina from 7B to 8A but they didn’t change the last frost date. So I’m wondering why?? the climate must not have changed that much if they can’t change the last frost date
Your Japanese purple sweet potato may be Murasaki. I grew it the same way, from a local Asian market.
Also Re: cucumbers, maybe the term you’re looking for is parthenocarpic or gynoecious? The hothouse varieties are often both I think. That’s what I grow in my tiny greenhouse and then I don’t have to worry about the pests. Otherwise I simply can’t grow them.
I have the vine borer blues.
I wonder what would happen if you put a cloche out in the direct sow area at the point in time when I would start indoors-but direct sow into that later (after it warmed up because of the cloche). I bet that would give me a better head start.
