Mascarpone is a soft Italian acid-set cream cheese.
Ingredients:
500ml Fresh high fat Cream.
Tbsp Lemon Juice.
How to Make Mascarpone
Heat the cream to 85°C (stir occasionally),
Add the lemon juice,
Remove from heat and allow to cool,
Pour into a lined colander or sieve (I use coffee filters) and refrigerate for couple hours.
Very easy to make. Taste better and cost less to make than store bought alternatives.
