Hey everyone. I’m currently studying wine abroad in Dubrovnik, Croatia. And I have to say, I am seriously impressed by the quality of the wines produced here. Particularly, grape varieties Pošip and Plavac Mali have stuck out to me.
Through my study, I have been lucky enough to visit quite a few vineyards and tasting rooms. The few winemakers who produce Dingač on Pelješac Peninsula are some of the most dedicated winemakers I’ve ever seen. Many of the grape vines are grown on actual cliff sides, where equipment is unusable. This means everything is done by hand, and you can really taste the attention. Anyone else love Croatian wines?
