Opened this last night and had with côte de boeuf.
It presented a pale, fully transparent ruby colour with some brick red at the edges.
Aromatics are really pretty and pronounced, with intense nose of roses and raspberries. Very primary.
The palate is medium bodied with moderate tannins – it is an approachable style. Pretty high acidity and the 14% alcohol sticks out a little bit. It really needed the food to balance it out. There isn’t yet a whole lot of complexity or length, but the purity is admirable. My wife is pregnant so I pretty much had the whole bottle to myself and didn’t find it a struggle.
