* 1 Kg Chicken with bones * Ginger Garlic paste * Yoghurt * Green chili crushed-according to your taste * 1Mace * 1Star Anise * Few bay leaves * Pink salt as per your taste * 10 black peppers * 4 Cloves * 4 Green Cardamom * 1Black Cardamom * Few cinnamon sticks * 2 tsp Fennel seed powder * 3 tsp Cashew powder * 100 ml thick cream * 1 lemon juice * 4 medium onion sliced. * Half small cup Oil * 2 Tablespoon Ghee
**Instructions**
1. Mix all the above spices with yoghurt and add chicken to it, let it marinate for a minimum of 30 mins. 2. Soak 4 Cups of rice in 8 cups of water. (Water should be double the amount of rice). Let it soak for 30 mins. 3. In a large cooking pot, add oil and shah jeera (black cumin seeds) and fry onion till translucent. 4. Add 2-3 green chilies slit and , Add ghee and give it a mix.. Then add the marinated chicken. 5. Cook for a while and add 1 chicken stock cube. Add 2 sliced tomatoes when chicken is tender and the oil releases. 6. Now add the soaked rice water according and let it boil. 7. Once the water is boiled and starts vaporing add rice and let it cook until all the water gets dried. 8. Now cover and steam cook on low flame for 10 to 15 mins.
Is the green chili a jalapeño, or like a New Mexico hatch green chili or…? This recipe sounds great but I would have to spend quite a bit of money buying several ingredients I’ve never used before.
