Masala Pasta is an easy Indian style pasta recipe that can be made within 10 mins. This pasta is so yummy and cheesy that you will love to make it every other day. Masala Pasta is spicy as well.
Ingredients
• 1 cup bow tie pasta/any pasta of your choice
• 1/4 cups cheese (mozzarella)
• 1/4 cups mixed bell peppers (julienned)
• 2 pcs medium onion (sliced)
• 1 tablespoon garlic (chopped)
• 1 tablespoon oregano
• 1 tablespoon black pepper (crushed)
• 2 tablespoons ketchup/tomato sauce
• 1 tablespoon peri peri sauce
• 1/4 cups pasta water
• 3 tablespoons olive oil
• salt to taste
Instructions
1. Boil 4 cup of water, add some salt and 1 tbsp of olive oil into the boiling water.
2. Add the pasta into the boiling water and cook as the instructions given in the packet. Mine took 10 min to cook the pasta.
3. Stir occasionally so that the pastas don’t stick together. Once al dente take out the pasta and set aside. Take out some of the pasta water to use later into the pasta.
4. Add rest of the olive oil into a frying pan. Once hot, add the garlic and onions.
5. Fry for 2 min on low flame. Add the bell peppers into the frying pan and fry for another 2 min on medium flame.
6. Add the oregano and black pepper. Add salt as well and fry for 1 min.
7. Add the tomato sauce and peri peri sauce. Mix with the veggies. Add the shredded cheese and let it melt into the veggies.
8. Once mixed, add the boiled pastas into the veggies. Mix until all the cheese, veggies and pastas are mixed together.
9. Add the pasta water (about 1/4 cup) into the pasta. This pasta water makes the pasta more creamy. Do not skip the pasta water, this will make the pasta more tasty.
10. Serve immediately and enjoy your easy masala pasta.
