Cheap and easy kid favorite, Crescent dogs. There isn’t a label that fits hot dogs so I did my best!

Ingredients:
Hot dogs from aldi ($.99 for 8)
Brick of mild cheddar cheese from aldi (2.49 for the brick and I used about half but my daughter ate some)
1 pack of crescent rolls from aldi (($1.99 for 8)
Instructions:
1) Preheat oven to 375 f and line a baking sheet with oarchment paper.
2) cut a slit longways across each hot dog so it’s like a pocket
3) cut 8 thinish slices from the end of the cheddar block (the end that’s most similar to a cracker size? The smallest surface area edge, however you think of it) then cut those in half longways again so you have two longish strips from each, total 16
4) stuff the cheese pieces into the hot dog pockets. They should fit almost perfectly end to end
5) wrap each hot dog in a crescent roll with the fattest part of the crescent roll over the cheese pocket
6) place cheese pocket facing up on the lined baking sheet and bake at 375 f for 12-17 minutes (I like to use the convection setting for extra crisp ones) until golden brown
7) serve immediately or cool 5 min for smaller kids, enjoy!

reminds me of putting butter and sugar or bread with ketchup and cheese and ham for pizza

I always just wrapped the cheese around the hot dog and then added the pastry, this is much more elegant! Thank you!
