I had a conversation with somebody the other day who claimed that they ate out all the time because “these days you can’t even cook at home for cheaper than a restaurant”. I immediately thought about lentil soup and resisted the urge to roll my eyes. I always make a simple thin dal with some mustard seeds, curry, and butter.
