    What a great idea! I’m going to do the same with the last bulbs I haven’t planted yet. I just couldn’t decide where to put them and this solves my dilemma. Love it!

    Matthew, this year I've been planting my tulips and daffodils in large planters and raised beds because I also have heavy clay soil. Most of the bulbs that I plated the year before last didn't come back this past spring, so this is my solution to temporarily address this problem. Have a great weekend! ~Margie🤗💐

    I think I’ve heard that daffodil blooms tend to face south, so it’s best to plant them where you would stand south of them to view the blooms. I planted 100 daffodil bulbs on a south facing curb here, and 100 on the opposite, north facing curb. I definitely can see the blooms better on the curb that faces south! Just something to consider.

    I’ve got some bulbs that I am anxious to plant – here in zone 7 and it’s been too warm to plant but supposed to get cooler soon – I want to plant them!

    I could not even dig in my clay soil. We had not had a measurable amount of rain for 2 months. So I put mine in a raised bed as well. 🌷

    Just a little helpful advice if you like. When you pull them out and replant, try to plant up near buildings and foundations. I find that they do best there since they stay so much drier throughout the summer and come back the best.
