Serenity700 3 years ago If you get your stewing beef on sale, this works out to be a rich, delicious and cheap meal.I got stewing beef on sale for $3.99/lb for this recipe. You can choose the amount of each ingredient you want. This is a very loose recipe.Ingredients:Stewing beefBeef broth, poured over beef until it’s coveredRed or white wine (optional), about a cupCarrots, peeled and slicedCelery, dicedOnions, dicedMushrooms, slicedPotatoes (either small or larger sliced)Turnip or rutabagaGarlicA dash of red pepper flakesWorcestershire sauceSalt and pepper to tasteFlourDirections:In a crockpot or stewing pot, place your beef.
