[The recipe I (kind of) followed](https://natashaskitchen.com/beef-stew-recipe/)

I left out the bacon, used dried shiitakes instead of fresh mushrooms, threw in a bouquet garni instead of measuring out individual quantities of herbs, and added turnips.

The recipe says to bake the stew for 1h45 in the oven, but I let it cook on the stovetop for a few hours. I know there are also tooooons of crockpot recipes for beef stew, but I decided once again to use my Dutch oven because it’s just slightly bigger than my crockpot.
