Soft and fluffy cheese buns filled with gooey mozzarella cheese! The buns are made with a simple dough and are perfect for a snack or breakfast. The recipe is really easy to make, but takes time for dough rising. Enjoy the delicious combination of soft, fluffy bread and melted mozzarella cheese in every bite!
* 120 ml (1/2 cup) of milk * 25 grams (2 tbsp) of sugar * 3 grams (1 tsp) of yeast * 200 grams (1 & 2/3 cups) of flour * 1/2 tsp of salt * 20 grams (1 tbsp) of butter * 120 grams (3.5 oz) of mozzarella
**Steps to cook:**
1. Warm the milk in the microwave. Add sugar and yeast, and mix well. Then add flour and salt, mix again, knead a little dough and transfer to the table. 2. Start kneading the dough. First make a circle and add room temperature butter to it. Then knead it with your hands for about 10 minutes. After that, cover the dough with clingfilm and leave it to rest for 30 minutes. 3. When the dough has rested, divide it into 8 pieces. Roll each part into a ball and let it rest for 10 minutes. At this time cut the mozzarella into cubes. 4. After 10 minutes, take one ball, make a small cake with your hand. In the center put a cube of mozzarella and pinching the dough (but not stretching) cover the piece of dough. Roll it a little for shaping. 5. Transfer the dough to a separate container and cover with clingfilm for 45 minutes (the dough will double in size). 6. When the dough has risen, heat a pan over medium heat (no oil). Place buns as many as fit and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side over medium heat (reduce heat to below medium if crust comes out too dark). Slightly press with a spatula after the first flip of buns. 7. Buns will be ready immediately after frying on both sides. You can grease them with a little butter. The buns can be kept at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 1 or 2 days. It is worth warming them up in the microwave (for 10 seconds) or in the oven before using.
