Just noticed something that is possibly coincidental, but I’m sure it’s a direct result of going from vegan (regular,.convenience.gooda,.still home cooked though) to WFPB.
First chart is my heart rate chart from my Fitbit for January so far. What I find really interesting is that on 6th Jan is the first drop in BPM avwrage. This coincides with when I cut the sugar, oil & processed foods. Then it just keeps getting lower as I continue as WFPB.
Second chart is my average heart rate over the year. I’ve input my January position in red, showing just how much it’s fallen.
I’m know these aren’t 100% accurate but this measures my baseline so I’m pretty confident that I have enough data to compare my own HR against itself.
So it means that I’ve gone from my highest average bpm of 76 in Feb & March last year to a low of 66bpm this month, which I am so pleased about.
Looking back, I had a low of 67bpm in October but that wasn’t a sustained low and it didn’t follow a decrease, unlike this low that the 1st chart shows.
So, anyone else noticed HR or BPM changes if you wear fitness trackers?

Did you track blood pressure and physical activity? More likely culprits for short term heart rate reduction than diet imo.
(Of course, diet affects blood pressure, esp. if weight loss is achieved.)
Just to clarify, is this your resting heart rate (which is what it looks like in the screenshots) or you average heart rate for the whole day? And do you wear your Fitbit overnight?
