Whole chicken in the slow cooker is the way to go! After it spent all day in the sauna, I broiled for a little to make the skin crispy. Made enough to feed five mouths for dinner, gravy from the juices (+ a little gravy for the dogs dry food), more than enough to make chicken salad and a little meat leftover for a single lunch tomorrow. 10/10 will have again. I feeling successful (mainly because I didn’t have any complaints from the dinner table).

Now, throw the bones in the slow cooker with a chopped onion, celery, carrot and bay leaf. Cover with water and let to cook overnight. In the morning you will have chicken broth. Skim the fat and refrigerate or freeze for later.
