This looks good! Any recommendations on what to sub the mushroom items for? My husband absolutely hates mushrooms.

“Doctors are getting on me about sodium” -proceeds to use condensed soup with 5,725mg of sodium.
That said I’d hit that cube steak harder than a bull hits a careless trespasser.

You reeeeeeeally don’t need to slow cook those. They’re specifically made to be seared really quickly or dredged in flour and fried. They’re also known as tenderized or “minute” steaks.
So slow cooking them is overkill because they don’t have the collagen or connective tissue a shoulder or shank cut would have.
That being said do that you want.

Slow cooking this type of meat is a very dumb idea.

Saw something similar somewhere else and the comments were all about washing the meat. Came to the comments here to see if the shock and horror had carried over.
