Have you started your seeds yet? Thanks for watching!

  2. Thank you for this wonderful video!! It was very informative and helpful. I truly appreciate it. I just LOVE your patio!!! Where did you get your fireplace??? I adore it!!!!

  3. What about when you put the pods in the grown, can you leave the wrap on or best to take it off and just the dirt and plant?

  4. Thank you for this jnformation. I've just transferred 5 sugar snap peas into a larger tub after growing them from saving last years seeds from a 2 plants my daughter gave me last year. I wont be putting them outside for a few days yet though, as I want to establish them in the new tub, and the weather is not warm enough and we've had strong winds today. I put beans out last week after transplanting 5 of them, we had a few days of hot weather, then strong winds a day or so after, 2 leaves burned and 3 were left, but there's some hope as there are 2 new shoots coming, but its chilly outside. I live in the northern hemisphere and the weather is so unpredictable right now. I'll have some tomato plants to transplant in a few weeks though, fingers crossed. Thank you again for the tips though.

  5. This is my first time with a garden. I am using peat pellets. I have tomatoes, carrots, corn, peppers, lettuce, peas, cucumbers, broccoli, onions. Any advice? I not to sure what i am doing but i am watching videos and reading about everything and I also have a friend i ask about gardening. I also have sunflowers and watermelon. Also strawberries. I think i started with to many for a beginner. I also wanna grow a pumkin.

  6. I prefer growing indoors. This video is so helpful, I’m new to growing, thank you! 🙏🏽💜

  7. Well I made most of these mistakes. It's my first year starting seeds in our new Montana greenhouse. Guess I will start again. Thank you for this.

  8. 16+6 = 22…..What is my light supposed to be doing for those other 2 hours of the day? Or are you from another universe?

  9. The lesson I learned the hard way; Always do your research and homework BEFORE starting your project, no matter what your at home project is. I have the very bad habit of jumping right in. My wallet still hurts!!!!

  10. Kim, to I actually have two sets of grow lights for my indoor plants, I'm assuming I could use those ?

  11. I made the mistake of planting tomatoes in the small pellets. How and when do I transplant them into a larger container?

  12. If I'm going to be keeping my starter seeds indoors is it ok to plant the seeds in a larger container so I can avoid transplanting.

  13. I use a coffee filter at the bottom and mix freshly used (but cooled off) coffee grounds. It pre-moistens the soil and also aerates it.

I have found that used tea leaves (dried and ground up) mixed into the soil provides extra health to the plants.

  14. Seeds don't need light when they are in the ground & germinating. They don't have any leaves to use the light!! 🙄

  15. I use regular outside dirt to start my seeding. They grow fine. I live at Buffalo NY. I use grow lights. I also use my goldfish tank water to fertilize my plants.

  16. I've learned a lot about warm weather gardening from you, thank you. I usually buy seedlings or, direct plant in my raise beds and containers. I've committed to starting my seeds this year. Although I have some black seed Simpson lettuce started in one bed already. Some beets and radish in another bed and some Swiss Chard in yet another. Now for peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes to be started indoors. I live in North Phoenix, AZ. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

  17. top mistake – don't plant things you won't actually eat, but feel like eating in your imagination.

  18. Hello from Australia. Thank you for this lovely and informative video, So relaxing and easy to understand.

  19. Also with the tote box light, it will help keep the pets away. Sometimes,at night, when we were sleeping, our cats would jump on the table, and mess with my seedlings! 🤬🤬🤬

  20. When planting seedlings in egg cartons, how do you water them from the bottom? I am guessing I place the egg carton in a pan and add water to allow it to soak up into the carton.

  21. This got me in the mood to go plant now but it's midnite …. can't wait till morning…🤣🤣 For some reason I have had Zero success with peat pellets, I can't get anything to even sprout in them.
