Has my kimchi gone bad? No noticeable mold spots and less than a year old.

Barely use it as I tend to make more chicken bowls but made a salmon and rice bowl for tonight. Also my GI system is really sensitive, otherwise I would’ve ate it already.

I mean, most store bought kimchi has a best by self life of like 8 months to a year. Even after the best by date, the only thing that would change will be the texture and taste.
Since it’s already fermented, it will be good to go for basically forever in terms of spoilage/food borne illness wise unless you see any mold. As long as you don’t cross contaminate by using dirty utensils and don’t see any mold then it’s up to you to eat it based on its texture and taste since it has fermented more than when you originally bought it.
Just try a little bit to see if it got too sour or pungent for your taste but otherwise you wouldn’t get sick from it.
Edit: if it’s too sour you can make an awesome kimchi jjigae with it! Funky old kimchi makes the best base. Saves you from throwing it out too.

That’s the most unnoticeable noticeable mold I’ve ever seen. Where it at?

I have homemade nuclear kimchi dated almost 3 years. I check it rarely — no spoilage signs

It looks like my 6 months old kimchi. Probably tastes less spicy and more sour than before. I use this in stews, fried rice, pancakes.
Cant judge based on the picture, so use your own judgement.

It has not.

I don’t think so? Kimchi lasts a long time since it’s already fermented. I’ve eaten a large jar throughout a year and it was fine lol. It probably would taste more sour though because it’s even more fermented now. That’s when I use it to make kimchi jjigae.
