Slow Cooker Hunters Chicken

    A lovely comfort recipe for a cold day!

    Chicken breasts wrapped in streaky bacon (smoked or unsmoked is fine)

    250g tomato passata

    1/4 Cup White Vinegar

    1/2 Cup Brown Sugar

    1 tbsp smoked paprika

    1 tbsp HP sauce (can use brown sauce or Worcestershire sauce)

    1 tsp garlic powder

    1 tsp onion powder (or granules)

    2 tsp honey

    Salt and pepper to your taste

    100ml chicken stock

    Cook on low for 5 hours- 6 if you cook 4 chicken breasts. Add some cheddar cheese to the top about 20 minutes before the end of cooking so it melts.

    Goes great with potato wedges or cubes- I do mine in the air fryer for minimal effort.
