We Love Hummingbirds & We do container gardening, and now we have ponds to bring in dragonflies, but the water is now bringing in all kinds of animals that are so desperately looking for water. The deer the skunk the bobcat and so much more have now moved in the area to stay close to water, and we love it. We have developed without even realizing it an animal sanctuary in our own back yard.

Robbie thank you for putting out your videos. My husband and I started container gardening just this month watching your videos. We are renters and it’s important for us to be able to take our garden to our new property when we do purchase. It’s so scary to see what is happening which is why I’ve shown my husband your videos and we’ve started planting. I’m thinking about a cheap way to catch rain water and store it this coming winter. Those animals in your yard is giant flashing warning sign to us all even though it is beautiful to see.

What recommendation do u have on how to clean everything. I guess I just worry bout cross contamination of sick animals. How do u clean the pond? My fear would be to spread disease if I didn't upkeep it correctly.

Ty Robbie 🙂 we watched a documentary on the drought all across the southwest coast. What does our gov do abt this drought? They discussed piping in water from other areas of the country. I believe that’s not the best option. Desalination is should be an option as did a owner of business in Las Vegas. We did searches and there are many great videos on desalination. Gov seems to dismiss this idea. God help us we lost our way <><

Have couple of hummingbirds in my garden… they pounce around all day feeding from the flowers … I have installed feeders… NO matter what I do or place them” the hummingbirds don’t even goes near it!!! I have wasted so much nectar etc… PS… I live in The mountain of PR. What I’m doing wrong??

I have put out water religiously all summer for my animals and always do but have had to do it much more this summer due to the drought. I have foxes, feral cats, all the birds and the squirrel on my roof (they're safer on the roof as my own cat only goes out after dark) there are probably lots more nocturnal animals so I place big containers where they can get it, we have a huge flock of green parakeets in the big tree at the end of the garden but I only see them late afternoon and early evening. You are a wonderful person caring for these animals, it's just the least people can do for other living things in these unusual temperatures.

I have a fish pond and have had the animals for over 20 years nothing larger than deer but lots of turkeys foxes Great Blue Hurons sometimes even Bald Eagles hunting
