I know the answer. The taste is seasoned raw crab.
What amazes me is the spicy version of the raw crab. My hmart leaves it out all day packed, not refrigerated, ready to eat. I’ve never gotten sick.
I go to an expensive restaurant, see one weird looking raw oyster, I won’t eat it.

Is there a recipe for this? What kind of crab? Will frozen blue crabs work? I’m fully intrigued and want to make this now. It looks very yummy. I’d like to at least try it

What is the texture like? I have eaten raw fish in sushi and sashimi, I’ve had ceviche, and I used to love raw oysters, but I have never eaten raw crab.

I love ganjang gejang! But it really depends on how well the place does it. I’ve tasted really really good ones and bad ones. I eat this with rice mixed with sesame oil and a sunny side up egg.

It’s one of those things you can’t exactly describe due to how unique it is. It is delicious with a bit of sweet, savory and spicy mixed with some gooey raw fish like texture. Eating the body was best compared to the legs due to how much meat you can get.
