My husband does the grocery shopping. He came home with a package of sausage links that needed to be used by 3/5. So, we decided to slow cook them in some sauce for future dinners as we are a household of two people.
A couple hours after turning it on I threw out my back so any movement was virtually impossible. When I got ready to go to bed he said he would turn the sausage off. I woke up this morning to burnt sausage with burnt sauce. Guess who is not going to clean this mess!?!

Was it on high the entire time? Also, you may want to put more liquid in.
I’ve done worse.
E.g Left an entire pot of Mac n cheese outside overnight – we live in Hong Kong and summers can get pretty hot and humid.
Even worse.. I once threw away a pot of meat/veggie stock that the wife made to use over the weekend. I thought it was just soapy water….
I also have to wonder why on earth you’d slow cook sausages. That’s almost the same as slow cooking hamburgers. (In the sense that both are ground meat intended for quick cooking.)
You can’t kick his a$$ because your back is thrown. Hope you feel better, by the way.
